Mark's Story
A well-traveled dancer and actor, he returned to DC and found warm and welcoming banking close to home.
Mark is from Washington, D.C. and spent his summers in the country. During college he moved to Utah to finish school and become a certified licensed baker. Then his life took a turn towards the arts, with an arts degree and then a long and fruitful career in dance and acting in Hollywood. Recently he returned to his hometown of D.C. and joined DC Credit Union.
He’d previously been at a larger bank but wanted to join a credit union again. “I wanted my banking to be local, closer to home, and DC Credit Union is one of the places I know I could go into, put money away where I wanted it to be—close to home.”
Mark has loved his experience with the credit union so far. “Being with the credit union has opened up doors for me,” says Mark. “I feel very fantastic about being a part of the DC federal credit union. I love it, and it’s allowed me to put money away and hold on to as much as I can.”
The enthusiasm with which Mark approaches life is reflected in his membership with the credit union. “What I love about DC Credit Union is the fantastic service they give to me. They look out for me and I just love them. I walk in with a smile and they give me a warm heart, and inviting feeling to come back and see them.”
Mark’s happy to be back in D.C. and he’s planning on being a member for the long haul. “DC Credit Union is close to home. I think I’ll be with the credit union for quite awhile. I don’t think I’ll ever leave.”
